New Airtel prepaid plan of Rs 499 – Offers 2GB Data daily for 82 Days

Telecom operators are offering their users’ attractive data plans in order to let the users enjoy the ongoing Vivo IPL (Indian Premier League) cricket matches on the smartphones itself. New Airtel prepaid plan of Rs 499 which is offering the users a whopping 164GB (2GB Data daily) of high-speed 4G data and the validity period is of 82 days, is a perfect example. In addition to the data benefit, the users also get 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls. The new plan offered by Airtel is in-sync with various competitive plans, being introduced by BSNL and Reliance Jio, for the users to enjoy the live streaming of cricket matches of Vivo IPL 2018. Jio launched a data pack costing Rs 251, whereas BSNL introduced a data pack worth Rs 248 for prepaid users.

This Airtel prepaid plan of Rs 499 offers 4G data of 2GB daily, that too at high-speed along with 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls (even on roaming) for 82 days. There are unlimited voice calls without any daily or monthly FUP limit, but the SMSs are capped at 100 per day.

This prepaid plan from Bharti Airtel is in contrast with Jio’s prepaid plan of Rs 498 which is also offering 2GB data daily, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls for 91 dayswithout any limit on FUP. Though Airtel’s pack gives 164GB of data, Jio’s plan offers 182GB of data benefit. The best part here is that Bharti Airtel is trying to compete in telecom market, with introduction of such plans, with Reliance Jio.

The lesser validity of Airtel won’t be a cause of worry for most of the users, but the users are worried about the segmented availability of the plan. This is because, like always, this plan from Airtel is valid for selected prepaid users only. The company might very soon make it an open market plan in order to stay in competition with Reliance Jio.

In recent times, with Reliance Jio’s new schemes and aggressive tariff plans, Bharti Airtel is under severe pressure. Free Live streaming of Vivo IPL 2018 matches is also being offered by Airtel on its Airtel TV app (which redirects to Hotstar). This plan will prove to be a boon for those users who are relying on the network of Airtel to watch live IPL 2018 matches. It is also expected that in the coming days, Airtel will revise quite a few of its prepaid plans. BSNL has introduced a pack of Rs 248 for 51 days, which offers 3GB data per day, while Reliance Jio came up with a new Rs 251 data pack offering 2GB data daily for 51 days.
