New Metro Route: There is a proposal to lay a 72 kilometer long new line to connect Delhi Airport and Jewar Airport through Metro. The DPR of the Knowledge Park-2 New Delhi Metro Station section of the line to be built in two sections has now been submitted.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has submitted the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the metro route to be built to connect New Delhi Airport to Greater Noida to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). This 37 kilometer long metro rail link will go from Knowledge Park-2 in Greater Noida to New Delhi Railway Station. With the construction of this line, people from Noida and Greater Noida will reach Delhi airport in an hour. Along with this, this route will also play an important role in connecting New Delhi Airport with Jewar Airport.
According to a Moneycontrol report, there will be 7 metro stations on this route from Knowledge Park-2 in Greater Noida to New Delhi Railway Station. Significantly, the Yamuna Authority plans to connect Indira Gandhi International Airport and Jewar Airport through metro rail. For this, the DPR has already been submitted to the state government for laying the metro line from Knowledge Park-2 in Greater Noida to Jewar Airport. Now the detailed project report has been given for laying the metro line from Knowledge Park-2 to New Delhi Metro Station. The total length of both these sections is 72 km.
Delhi airport is connected to New Delhi station
Metro is available from New Delhi Railway Station to Delhi Airport. If the metro line is laid from New Delhi Railway Station to Jewar Airport via Greater Noida, then there will be metro connectivity between Indira Gandhi International Airport and Jewar Airport.
Yamuna Authority (YEIDA) CEO Arun Vir Singh told Moneycontrol that the DPR has been received from DMRC. The authority has sent it to the Uttar Pradesh government for further approval. Now further work on this project will be done as per the instructions of the state government.
7 Metro stations will be built on 37 kilometer long route
Seven stations will be built on the 37 kilometer metro line from New Delhi Railway Station to Knowledge Park in Greater Noida. Where the stations will be, it has not been disclosed yet. This 37 km long metro route will remain 3 km underground, while the remaining 34 km route will be elevated. DMRC already has a metro line to go from New Delhi Railway Station to Delhi Airport, from where passengers of Greater Noida will be able to reach Delhi Airport by changing metro.
