Arrears of Sixth Pay Commission Financial Benefits with 6% interest 

Himachal Pradesh High Court will give the benefit of sixth pay scale to the retired Deputy Directors of Agriculture and Rural Development Department. The High Court has made it clear in its order that the outstanding amount of financial benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission should be given to the retired Deputy Directors along with 6% interest. This process should be completed within 6 weeks.

Benefits of pension, gratuity, computation of pension from 1 January 2016

Himachal Pradesh High Court Judge Sandeep Sharma has given these orders to the Finance Secretary of the State Government and the Accountant General of Himalayan Pradesh after hearing the petition filed by retired Deputy Directors.

Accepting the petition of the petitioners, the court ordered to give the outstanding revised salary with interest from January 1, 2016 to April 30, 2018 and to give the petitioners the benefit of pension, gratuity, leave encashment and computation of pension with 6% interest from January 1, 2016. .

It was alleged by the petitioners that they have not yet been given any financial benefit as per the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission. The rules related to the revised pay scale were fixed by the state government on January 3, 2022. Under these rules, the government has implemented the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission. was adopted and it was announced to provide this benefit to the employees from 1 January 2016.

The petitioners say that they are also entitled to receive the outstanding amount of the revised pay scale because they retired after January 1, 2016. Therefore, on February 25, 2022, the government amended the pension rules and increased the limit of gratuity to the employees who retired after January 1, 2016. It was increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

The same office memorandum was issued by the government on 17 September 2022. In which installments were prepared to give financial benefits, a provision was made to pay the amount in five installments without financial benefits. The petitioners have said that they are being discriminated against by the government.

Employees who retired between January 1, 2016 and January 31, 2022 are being paid in five installments. In such a situation, he is also entitled to receive the outstanding amount of the revised pay scale. After which the court gave an important decision in the interest of the employees.
