Gurugram Greater Noida RRTS Corridor-, In a meeting between Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal, a consensus was reached on the construction of a new RRTS corridor.
The central government is putting full emphasis on increasing transport facilities in the National Capital Region (NCR). While roads and overbridges are being constructed to ease movement in NCR cities, metro services are also being expanded. The Regional Rapid Transit System has also been built to connect Delhi to Meerut. Now a plan has also been made to connect Gurugram in Haryana to Greater Noida in UP through RRTS. This corridor will play an important role in improving connectivity between the two cities and reducing traffic congestion.
Recently, in a meeting between Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal, a consensus was reached on the construction of a new RRTS corridor. Apart from this corridor, Gurugram Metro expansion and other metro projects were also discussed in the meeting. The speed of the rapid rail running on this corridor will be 160 km per hour. In this way, it will complete the journey between Gurugram and Greater Noida in just 25 minutes.
This will be the route
The Gurugram-Greater Noida corridor will be 60 km long. The corridor will connect Rajiv Chowk of Gurugram to Noida Sector-142 and Surajpur of Greater Noida. Smooth travel will be possible between major centers like Gurugram, Faridabad and Noida through RRTS, which will give a lot of relief to the people. A total of eight stations are planned to be built on this route, including Bata Chowk in Faridabad. This project will cost around Rs 15,000 crore. This will reduce traffic pressure in NCR and will also help in reducing air pollution.

In the meeting between Chief Minister Naib Saini and Union Minister Manohar Lal, there was also an agreement to extend the Delhi-Panipat RRTS corridor to Karnal. Apart from this, there was also discussion on extending the Gurugram Metro to AIIMS Badhsa and connecting Indira Gandhi International Airport to Gurugram, Faridabad and Jewar Airport through RRTS.
Metro will run from Gurugram to Panchgaon
The Haryana government has sent a proposal to the Center for funding for the metro extension from Gurugram Sector-56 to Panchgaon. After the completion of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), it is expected to get approval from the Center. Apart from this, a proposal for two new metro lines from Palam Vihar and extension of RRTS from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Dharuhera, Bawal and Shahjahanpur in Rajasthan is also under consideration.
