New Delhi Varanasi Vande Bharat Train: The second Vande Bharat train which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off between Varanasi and New Delhi today i.e. on Monday, will be of saffron colour. And it has many new features. Northern Railway issued a statement giving this information.
News agency PTI quoted a source in the Railway Ministry as saying, ‘This is the second saffron-coloured Vande Bharat train which the Railway Ministry is going to start operating in the country.’ Along with its statement issued in the press, Northern Railway has also shared a picture of the saffron colored train.
These are the features of this Vande Bharat train
Northern Railway said, ‘Wi-Fi providing information and entertainment while traveling in the train, GPS based passenger information system, comfortable arrangement, bio-vacuum toilets, LED lighting system, charging facility under every seat and There are better passenger amenities like book reading lights at every seat.’
The train will leave today at 2.15 pm
The train has an improved air conditioning system with UV lamps for germ-free supply of air, the statement said. It also has a provision to increase or decrease the air conditioning according to climatic conditions/number of passengers. It will be sent from Varanasi to New Delhi on Monday at 2:15 pm.
Know train timings and routes
Generally, this train will leave from Varanasi for New Delhi at 6 am on six days every week except Tuesday. The train will reach New Delhi at 2.05 pm and will leave for Varanasi after 55 minutes at 3 pm. It will reach its destination at 11.05 pm.
This is the timing of the first Vande Bharat
At present, the first Vande Bharat train running between New Delhi and Varanasi leaves Delhi at 6 am and reaches Varanasi at 2 pm. It leaves for New Delhi at 3 pm and reaches the destination at 11 pm. It runs six days a week except Tuesday.
This is the thinking regarding the choice of color
Railways had launched the first saffron-grey colored Vande Bharat train on September 24 between Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, in a recent conversation with journalists, had denied that there was any politics behind the color of Vande Bharat train being orange or saffron. He had said that the choice of colors is completely based on scientific thinking.
He had said, ‘Human eyes see two colors the most – yellow and orange. About 80 percent of trains in Europe are colored orange or a combination of yellow and orange.’
