The Labor Ministry has released the AICPI index data for June 2023. On the basis of this, there will be a bumper increase in the dearness allowance of the employees.
June recorded an increase of 1.7 points
Based on the figures from January to July, it has been confirmed that DA Hike will be available at the rate of 46 percent. Till now the dearness allowance of the employees is 42 percent, which will now increase to 46 percent. There has been a big jump in the AICPI index of June 2023. The June index has jumped to 136.4 points. Earlier in May this figure was at 134.7 points. That is, an increase of 1.7 points has been recorded in June. According to the figures of May, the DA score was at 45.58 percent, which has increased to percent in June 2023.
DA will be available at the rate of 46 percent
After the arrival of this figure, dearness allowance will be announced at the rate of 46 percent to the central employees. The government can announce the new dearness allowance in the month of September. The new dearness allowance will be paid in the September salary itself. However, along with this, three months’ arrears will also be given to the employees and pensioners.
Till the new rates of dearness allowance are implemented, DA will be paid to the employees at the rate of 42 percent only.
Pensioners will also get benefit
Let us tell you that the benefit of the increase in dearness allowance will be given to such central employees, who are getting salary under the Seventh Pay Commission. More than one crore central employees and pensioners will be directly given the benefit of this increase. The dearness allowance of central employees is increased twice every year by the government. It is implemented from 1 January and 1 July. The finance ministry of the government approves it.
Employees and pensioners were waiting
The dearness allowance figure is decided by the Labor Ministry on the basis of Industrial Inflation Figures (AICPI). Like every time, central employees are waiting for an increase in DA this time too. If a 4 percent increase is announced by the government for July 2023 as well, then from July 2021, there will be a total increase of 15 percent in DA. In July 2021, the DA, which was stuck for one and a half years, was increased by 17 percent in one go.
This time, if this figure increases to 46 percent and in January 2024, if only 4 percent increase is seen in it, then it will reach 50 percent. As per rules, after that it will be made zero and the amount of DA will be added to the basic salary.
