Old Pension Scheme: Many states of the country have implemented the old pension scheme, in which the names of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand are mentioned.
But the central government made it clear in Parliament that there is no proposal from the government to restore the old pension (OPS) of government employees.
These days the issue of old pension scheme is very much discussed. This became an election issue in the recently held UP elections. Government employees have been demanding this for a long time.
Many states of the country have implemented OPS, in which Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand are named. But the central government made it clear in Parliament that there is no proposal from the government to restore the old pension (OPS) of government employees.
The question was asked by the opposition
Actually, the opposition MP in Parliament had asked a question regarding the implementation of OPM.
He had asked whether the central government is also going to abolish the new pension scheme and restore the old pension scheme for the central employees?
If the central government is making up such a mind, then what steps will be taken and if the government has no such intention, then what is the reason for it.
