Old Pension Scheme: The demand for old pension is increasing in every corner of the country. This scheme is already implemented in many states, but employees of other states are now adamant on its demand.

Recently, a large crowd of central and state employees had reached Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, where they demanded implementation of OPS i.e. Old Pension Scheme. At the same time, this old pension scheme is operational in 5 states including Rajasthan and Himachal. Meanwhile, there is good news for the electricity employees of Himachal Pradesh. A new update has come out regarding the restoration of the old pension scheme in the state.

Just as government employees in the state are getting the benefit of old pension, now electricity employees are also going to get the benefit of OPS. According to media reports, in a meeting, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has once again assured the Electricity Board Employees Union that the old pension of the Electricity Board will be restored in the month of October.

At the same time, now a delegation of union officials led by President Mukesh Bedi met Chief Minister Sukhu in Chamba on Sunday.

Thousands of employees will be benefited.

In fact, the State Electricity Board Limited Pension Welfare Association has demanded from Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu that the old pension scheme for the board’s employees should be implemented soon. Even before this, with the aim of ensuring social security for the employees,

Himachal Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Sukhu has assured to include the employees of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) under the ambit of the old pension scheme. It was told that about 6,500 HPSEBL employees will benefit from this decision of the state government.
