In this era of Digital India, it has become very easy to send money online to anyone. Through UPI, money will reach the other person’s account in a jiffy. However, while sending money to someone, it is important to keep some things in mind, so that you do not suffer loss. If you do not take care of these 5 things while sending money online (money transfer rule), then you may suffer loss. Your money may get stuck or you may be cheated.
1- Search the number on Google
If you are sending money to an unknown person, then to avoid fraud, definitely search the number on Google once. Many times people have written some reviews on Google about the numbers of fraudsters, which will help you avoid getting into any trouble.
2- Do NEFT/IMPS instead of UPI
UPI does not reveal much information about the other person, so transfer money through NEFT/IMPS. You get additional security in sending money through NEFT/IMPS, because it reveals the identity of the people.
3- Do not hurry
Do not transfer money in a hurry, because once the money goes to the wrong account, it becomes difficult to get it back. In such a situation, check the name, account number, IFSC code, everything thoroughly before sending money.
4- Test by sending less money
Before sending the entire amount, test by sending 1-2 rupees once, so that if there is any problem, it can be known. If something goes wrong and the money does not reach the other person’s account, then understand that you have made a mistake and check all the information again.
5- Pay by cheque
If you have to pay money to an unknown company, try to pay by cheque, fraud will not happen. When paying by cheque, it is encashed only after thorough investigation by the bank, which reduces the chances of fraud to a great extent.
