The last date for linking PAN card with Aadhar card was 30th June, which has now passed. If a PAN card was not linked to Aadhaar from July 1, it was considered inactive. Till then people could link PAN and Aadhaar by paying a fine of Rs 1,000. But if a person fails to link both the documents then there will be many consequences.
Is Aadhar Card linked to PAN Card or not? Check online:
Visit the official website of Income Tax Department – incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
Open Quick Links section and select Link Aadhaar Status
Enter your PAN and Aadhar card number
Click on ‘View Link Aadhaar Status’ option
The screen will show you the PAN-Aadhaar link status
If your PAN card is linked to Aadhaar, the screen will show Linked otherwise, it will show the link to link both the cards.

Open the messaging app on your phone
While creating a new message, type <UIDPAN <12 digit Aadhaar number><10 digit PAN number>
Send this message to 56161 or 567678
You will receive an SMS regarding update on Aadhaar-PAN link status on your registered mobile number
