UP CM Yogi Adityanath has assured that the pension will increase soon. But this time the pension amount of destitute women will be increased.

Currently getting pension of Rs 1000

The Chief Minister gave this information during the inauguration and foundation stone laying of 145 development projects costing Rs 688 crore for the district at Tiranga Maidan in Auraiya. While assuring the women in a public meeting, he said that ‘destitute sisters’ (widows, elderly women) are currently being given a pension of Rs 1,000 per month, which will be increased in the future.

According to a statement issued in Lucknow, Yogi said in the meeting in Auraiya that no society can be self-reliant and strong unless half of the population is living safely and with dignity. He has said that keeping this in mind, the Prime Minister dedicated the first session of the new Parliament to mother power by bringing the Nari Shakti Vandan Act with full priority, so that one-third of the seats in the Assembly and Lok Sabha are reserved for women and they get elected.

Increased amount of Kanya Sumangal Yojana

The Chief Minister has said that without giving respect to half the population, the value of development schemes is incomplete. Under the Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the government is giving Rs 15,000 till now for the graduation studies of a girl child after her birth. It has been decided to increase this amount to Rs 25 thousand from the new session.

Government will take responsibility of daughter

Yogi said that the ‘double engine’ government has decided that if the financial condition of the family is not good, then the government will take the responsibility of the daughter. Targeting the opposition parties, especially the Samajwadi Party (SP), the Chief Minister said that those who promoted nepotism in the name of casteism were depriving the common people of development works. We have not committed the sin of tearing apart the social fabric in the name of caste, family, region and language.

All festivals were celebrated peacefully till Vijayadashami. 

He has said that all the programs during Vijayadashami took place peacefully. Before 2017, festivals used to bring apprehensions, but in the last six and a half years, festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm. More than 50 thousand statues were installed in the districts, but there was no chaos at any place.
