It is necessary for pensioners to submit life certificate. So that, they continue to get pension without any hassle. All central government and state pensioners have to submit a life certificate to the bank where their pension is received by 30th November every year to avail their benefits.
This is an annual life certificate which has to be given once a year. However, pensioners aged 80 years and above are allowed to submit life certificates from October 1. In remaining cases, this validity is from 1st to 30th November.
Life certificate can be submitted manually or digitally as per the convenience of the pensioners. These are the methods of submitting life certificate.

What will happen if life certificate is not submitted by the month of November?
Pension payments for December and thereafter will not be made to pensioners.
If the life certificate is submitted in the next month, when will the pension for November and beyond be paid?
Once the life certificate is updated in the pension process, pension will be paid immediately with arrears on the next pension payment. However, if the life certificate has not been submitted for a period of three years and more, then in that case the pension will be started only after the approval of the authorities through CPAO.

Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric based digital life certificate for pensioners. It is prepared for pensioners using their Aadhaar number and biometrics.
