New rates applicable from May 1, pension will increase in June
In fact, in the past, CM Ashok Gehlot had approved the proposal to increase the monthly pension amount given under social security keeping a humanitarian approach. At present, the pension amount payable at Rs 500-750 per month will now be minimum Rs 1 thousand per month.
Eligible applicants for old age, single women, specially abled, small and marginal farmer pension will get increased pension amount from the month of May, which will be payable on June 1, 2023.
This will benefit 106340 elderly people, 30345 single women and 23693 specially abled people of Dausa district. There will also be an additional burden of Rs 53170000 in social security pension and Rs 15172500 in Ekal Nari Yojana on the government.
The special thing is that with the beginning of the new financial year, after the increase in the pension received per month by the state government in the budget announcement by all categories of pensioners, social security old age, widow, abandonment, divorced and single women pension will get its benefit. .
Additional burden of Rs 2222.70 crore will come
The increase in pension rates in social security pension schemes will now put an additional burden of Rs 185 crore per month and Rs 2222.70 crore per year on the state government. Now about 700 crore rupees are spent every month. It is notable that in the budget of the year 2023-24, the Chief Minister had announced to increase the minimum pension amount to one thousand rupees per month.
They will also get increased pension
Leprosy free special-able people of all age groups will now get Rs 2500 pension. After increasing the pension amount in the budget announcement by the state government, now Rs 2500 will be given to leprosy-free special-able people. The increased pension amount will be given from the month of June. Whereas, from April 1, leprosy patients will also get the benefit of free travel in roadways buses.
