Petrol-Diesel Price Today 26th May: On Sunday, the Central Government gave great relief to the people by reducing the excise duty on petrol and diesel across the country. After this, the prices of petrol and diesel are stable for the fifth consecutive day today. After this move of the central government, many states also reduced VAT from petrol and diesel, after which the prices of oil came down. At present, the price of crude oil is increasing all over the world, despite this, it is a matter of relief to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel in the country.
These states reduced VAT
After the central government reduced the excise duty from petrol and diesel, some states also came forward and gave relief to the people. Some states reduced VAT (VAT cut on Petrol-Diesel) from petrol-diesel. Maharashtra, Kerala and Rajasthan governments have reduced VAT from petrol and diesel. After deducting VAT, the Maharashtra government is estimated to have a loss of Rs 2,500 crore.

There may be a crisis of petrol and diesel from May 31

In fact, petrol pump dealers of 14 states including the capital Delhi have decided not to buy petrol and diesel from oil depots of government oil companies from 31 May 2022.
