Petrol Diesel Prices: Amidst the demands and agitation of farmers, new rates of petrol and diesel were released on Wednesday morning. Today, oil prices are rising in many districts of Western UP, Haryana and Punjab. Even in the global market, crude oil has reached close to $83.

Farmers who are adamant on their demands including increasing the prices of crops have increased the problems of many cities of Punjab, Haryana and Western UP. Oil prices increased in many cities on Wednesday morning amid the farmers’ movement. Government and oil companies today released new prices of petrol and diesel, which are showing a rise. However, crude oil has also become expensive in the global market and seems to be moving towards $83.

According to government oil companies, today petrol became costlier by 48 paise to Rs 98.62 per liter in Patiala city of Punjab. Here diesel also increased by 45 paise and is being sold at Rs 88.92 per litre. In Haryana’s Sonipat district, petrol has become costlier by 29 paise to Rs 97.1 per liter and diesel has become costlier by 28 paise to Rs 89.99 per litre. Apart from this, in Meerut district of UP, petrol became costlier by 22 paise and reached Rs 96.63 per litre, while diesel is being sold at Rs 89.80 per liter with an increase of 21 paise.

Increase in crude oil prices

Here, due to the increasing crisis in the Red Sea, crude oil is becoming increasingly expensive in the global market. The price of Brent crude has increased by $ 0.77 to $ 82.77 per barrel. The rate of WTI has also increased by $ 0.79 today and is priced at $ 77.71 per barrel.

Petrol and diesel prices in all four metros

– Delhi petrol Rs 96.72 and diesel Rs 89.62 per liter

– Mumbai petrol Rs 106.31 and diesel Rs 94.27 per liter

– Chennai petrol Rs 102.63 and diesel Rs 94.24 per liter

– Kolkata petrol Rs 106.03 and diesel Rs 92.76 per liter

New prices released in these cities also

– In Patiala, petrol has become Rs 98.62 and diesel Rs 88.92 per litre.

– In Sonipat, petrol has become Rs 97.14 and diesel Rs 89.99 per litre.

– In Meerut, petrol has become Rs 96.63 and diesel Rs 89.80 per liter.

New rates are released every morning at 6 am

The prices of petrol and diesel change every day at 6 am. New rates come into effect from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price becomes almost double the original price. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel appear so high.
