Government will pay 8.15% interest for 2023-24
According to the official order, EPFO has asked its local offices to deposit interest on EPF at the rate of 8.15 per cent for 2022-23 in the accounts of the members. This order has come after the consent of the Finance Ministry on the interest rate. In the circular that came yesterday from the government, it was told that the government has approved the transfer of EPF to interest accounts for the financial year 2021-22. For the fiscal year 2021-22 also, the interest rate of EPF was fixed at 8.15 percent. Along with this, interest will be given at the rate of 8.15 percent for the year 2023-24 as well. Earlier, the government has also announced 8.15 percent interest for 2022-23.
Check balance through SMS
Like missed call service, here also all your important documents should be linked to UAN, only then you will be able to use this service. For this, you have to SMS EPFOHO UAN ENG (or instead of ENG, write the code of the language in which you want the message) to 7738299899. You will know the balance.
Check balance from UMANG APP
- Download the application from Play Store/App Store.
- Open UMANG app on your smartphone and select EPFO.
- Click on ‘Employee Service’.
- Click on Passbook to check your EPF balance.
- Enter your UAN and click on Get OTP to send OTP to the mobile number registered with UAN.
- Enter OTP and click on login.
- Select the member ID of the company for which you want to check EPF balance.
- Your passbook along with your EPF balance will be screened today.
Check Balance on EPFO Portal
- Visit the official website of EPFO- www.epfindia.gov.in.
- Click on the Services tab. Click on ‘For Employees’.
- Login with your UAN and password.
- After logging in you can access your EPF account. Click here for passbook. You will see your message.
