New Delhi. The government has given a big gift to the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) account holders. The government has increased the interest rate on deposits in PF account by 0.05 percent. That is, now PF account holders will get more money. According to the circular issued on July 24, for the financial year 2022-23, the interest rate on deposits in PF account has been increased from 8.10% to 0.05% to 8.15%. This money will start reaching the accounts of 6.5 crore EPFO members of the country by August 2023.
The board of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization had fixed an interest rate of 8.15 per cent on the EPF account in March for the financial year 2022-23 and sent the proposal to the finance ministry for approval. Now it has been approved and members will get 0.05 percent more interest than before on PF account. 1. Check balance like this through SMS
If your UAN is registered with EPFO, then you can get the information about your latest contribution and PF balance through a message. For this, you have to send EPFOHO UAN ENG to 7738299899. The last three characters are for the language. If you want information in Hindi, you can send it by writing EPFOHO UAN HIN. The service is available in English, Punjabi, Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali. This SMS should be sent from the registered mobile number of the UAN.
2. Check balance through missed call
Give a missed call on 011 22901406 from your registered mobile number. After this, a message will be received from EPFO in which you will get the details of your PF account. Let us tell you that for this it is necessary that bank account, PAN and Aadhaar are linked to UAN.
3. Through EPFO
For this, you must first login to EPFO’s website (epfindia.gov.in). For this, enter your UAN number, password and captcha code. After this click on e Passbook. By doing this a new page will open. Now open Member ID. After this you will be able to check your EPF balance.
4. Through UMANG App
Download the Umang app in your mobile. Click on EPFO in the app. Click on Employee Centric Services in this. After this, click on View Passbook and enter your UAN and password. You can check PF balance by entering the OTP received on the registered mobile number at the designated place.
