6 crore people will get benefit
On Monday July 24, EPFO directed its field offices to credit interest in the accounts of over 6 crore active members till March 2023. The interest rate on PF accounts announced in March this year was marginally higher than the four-decade low of 8.1 per cent announced by the government in 2021-22. This was the lowest since 1977-78, when the EPF interest rate was 8 per cent.
Check your pf balance like this
You can easily check your PF balance through UMANG APP.
- First of all, download the Umang app from Play or App Store.
- After this open the app, select EPFO and click on ‘Employee Service’.
- After that click on Passbook to check your EPF balance.
- In the next step, you have to enter your UAN number. Apart from this, you will also have to enter the registered mobile number on which OTP will come.
- Then you enter OTP and click on login.
- Then select the company for which you want to check EPF balance and then select the member ID.
- After this, your passbook and EPF balance will appear in front of you on your screen.
Check account balance through SMS
To check balance by missed call all your important documents must be attached to UAN for which you need to send EPFOHO UAN ENG to 7738299899 (or replace ENG with the language code in which you want to receive the message). After this you will know the balance.
