PM Internship Scheme: Modi government is giving a special opportunity to the youth. You can get internship in big companies of the country. You will get Rs 5000 every month during internship. Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PM Internship Scheme) is an initiative of the Government of India, under which the youth are getting an opportunity to do internship in the top 500 companies of the country. This scheme is giving the youth an opportunity to learn practical experience of professional network, industrial culture. However, employment is not guaranteed through this internship.
Last date to apply
The last date to apply for the youth who want to apply in this scheme is 15 November 2024. Application can be done on the official website of PM Internship Scheme.
What benefits will you get?
Under the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme, interns are going to get many benefits. Interns will get Rs 5,000 every month. That is, a total of Rs 60,000 will be given in 12 months of internship. Out of Rs 5,000, the company will give Rs 500 every month on the basis of attendance and behavior. The remaining Rs 4,500 will be deposited in the Aadhaar linked bank account of the intern through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Insurance coverage will be available in addition to grant
After joining the internship, a grant of ₹ 6,000 will be given by the government. Apart from this, insurance coverage will also be available. Insurance coverage will be given to interns under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
In which sectors will internship be available?
Candidates will get internship in IT and software development, banking and financial services, oil and gas, metal and mining, FMCG, telecom, infrastructure, retail, automotive, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, media, agriculture, defense, healthcare etc.
Qualification to apply
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- The age limit should be 21-24 years. This is based on the last date of application.
- The applicant should not be associated with full-time job or education. Online and distance learning students can apply.
- Minimum educational qualification: SSC, HSC, ITI certificate, polytechnic diploma or graduation degree (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma etc.).
