was closed by the UP government in September 2019. Actually, the farmers who could not get the benefit by withdrawing the loan waiver scheme of the UP government. Some of them went to the High Court. After this, the government is thinking of giving them the benefit of this scheme.
Provision to give funds till September-October
Last days, in the meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Durgashankar Mishra, the budget for the scheme was discussed and it was decided to release it. Now it is expected that a provision should be made to give funds by September-October to the farmers who have not taken advantage of the scheme.
Crop loans of other farmers will be waived

In the information given by the government, it was told that the High Court has already been informed that the government will waive the loans of all those eligible farmers whose petitions are pending in the court. After allotment in the supplementary budget in the coming months, crop loans of the remaining farmers will be waived.
Crop loans up to 1 lakh will be waived
Let us tell you that after assuming the power of UP for the first time in March 2017, CM Yogi had announced loan waiver for the farmers. On behalf of the government, it was said that crop loans up to Rs 1 lakh taken by small and marginal farmers on or before March 31, 2016 would be waived.
Agreed on 45 lakh out of 66 lakh names
Initially, banks had given a list of 66 lakh farmers for loan waiver. But after investigation, the list was reduced to 45 lakh people. On the other hand, the government announced the closure of the scheme in September 2019. Now the government may have to allocate an amount of 200 crores to settle the remaining claims.
