Bank News : These days the festive season is going on. Banks are giving different offers to customers. Good news has come for the customers of Punjab National Bank ( PNB ). This government bank has decided to abolish the charges on RTGS, NEFT and IMPS. PNB has given this information on social media. This facility has been started for current account holders.
How will customers benefit?
Removal of RTGS, NEFT and IMPS means freeing up online transactions. Now customers availing these facilities through PNB One mobile app will not have to pay any fee.
What is RTGS, NEFT and IMPS?
Under Immediate Payment Services (IMPS), transaction facility is provided 24*7 anytime through Internet Banking. Under NEFT i.e. National Electronic Funds Transfer, money is transferred by customers to other accounts. There is no real time transaction in this. Transactions take place at the click of a button through Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS). Along with internet banking, this facility is also available offline.
