Most of the post offices connected with core banking
The Cabinet Minister also informed that so far 1,52,514 out of the total post offices in the country have been brought under the core banking system. There are currently 1,58,526 post offices across the country. This means that now only 6,012 post offices are left, which have not yet been connected to the core banking system.

Chouhan said that the government is taking steps to provide connectivity through Intermediate Data Rate Connectivity (IDR), Virtual Private Network Connection (VPN) and Very Small Aperture Terminal Connectivity (VSAT).
