Ration Card 2023:  If you are a ration card holder taking advantage of the government’s free ration scheme, then this news can be very useful for you. Actually an important announcement has been made by the state government. Under this, a cash amount equivalent to 10 kg free rice and 2 kg sugar will be paid through their bank account for Diwali.

Puducherry: Payment in cash

Thousands of beneficiaries of Puducherry will benefit from this. The clear orders have been given in a release from S Sathiyamurthy, Director of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs. Direct benefits will be given to each of the 3.37 lakh family ration card holders of Puducherry. And Rs 490 will be distributed in his account.

Advertisement It was clarified that government employees will not be entitled to payment of the amount. Rs 16.52 crore will be paid under this scheme. Earlier, rice and sugar were being distributed by the government through fair price shops. Now cash equivalent to free rice and sugar will be paid for the Diwali festival.

Assam: Ready to provide tea at concessional rates 

A big announcement has been made by the Assam government for ration card holders. In fact, from 2024 they will be provided tea at subsidized rates. Assam tea plantation industry is celebrating 200 years in the state. Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma announced that the government is considering making it available to ration card holders at Rs 100-150 per kg from 2024.

UP: Distribution of free grains to the poor

Free grains will be distributed to the poor before Diwali in Uttar Pradesh. Food grains will be distributed till 20th November. Free wheat rice will be distributed from November 5. Families with 6 or more members will also get the benefit of Ayushman Card.

Dealers were instructed to collect the ration till November 4 and also to distribute free wheat and rice every month to the ration card holders. 21 kg wheat and 14 kg rice will be provided to the farmers of Antyodaya Anna Yojana in the month of November while 3 kg rice and 2 kg wheat per unit will be distributed to the eligible Grihastha Yojana card holders.
