Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has said that door step delivery of ration will start in Punjab. That is, now the government will deliver ration from door to door. Only the officers of the department will do this work.

It is worth noting that earlier the Kejriwal government of Delhi had announced ‘Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Scheme’, but the central government had banned this scheme.

Punjab government made a big announcement

The Punjab government said that the new scheme has been made to ensure that quality food grains are distributed at the doorstep of the beneficiary at affordable prices.

In this scheme, instead of wheat, wheat flour packets will be distributed, more clean and packed rice will be delivered to people’s homes than before.

In this special facility, instead of going to the ration shop through Public Distribution System (PDS), people will now have the option to take its delivery at their home.

This is how you will get ration sitting at home

The Delhi government will get the wheat crushed in mills, then pack it in packets of different weights, similarly rice will be sent to processing units, where they will be cleaned and put in packets. After this they will be delivered to the people.

Door step delivery to the people will be done only after biometric through e-POS machines, so that only those who are eligible beneficiaries can get ration.
