Way to Identify Fake Note:Â The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has presented its annual report for the financial year 2021-22. According to this report, there has been a rapid increase in the number of fake notes of 500 and 2000 rupees in the country.
If we talk about fake notes of 500 rupees, then an increase of up to 102 percent has been registered in comparison to last year. However, if you keep a little caution, then you can avoid falling into the trap of counterfeit notes.
RBI has also shared a list of a total of 17 points to identify fake notes, with the help of which you can avoid counterfeit notes.
Fake notes increased on this scale
If we talk about fake notes in the country, then in the recent report of RBI, it has been claimed that there has been an increase of 101.9 percent in fake notes of Rs 500 as compared to last year. At the same time, there has been an increase of 54.16 percent in fake notes of 2000 rupees. As of March 2022, the share of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes in the total counterfeit notes in the country is 87.1 percent. Last year it was 85.7 percent.
How to identify 500 rupee notes
Before putting 500 rupees note in hand, it is very important to identify whether it is real or not. RBI has given 17 symbols to identify the note. By looking at these symbols, you can also identify the real and fake notes of 500 rupees or 2000 rupees. The difference between them is very minor, but if you pay attention then it will be easy to identify.
- If the note is placed in front of a light, then 500 will be written at this place.
- If the note is kept in front of the eye from an angle of 45 degrees, 500 will be written at this place.
- 500 written in Devanagari will be seen at this place
- The picture of Mahatma Gandhi is shown right in the middle.
- Letters of India and India will be seen written
- If you twist the note a little, then the color of the color of the security thread will be seen changing from green to indigo.
- The Governor’s signature, guarantee clause, promise clause and RBI logo have shifted to the right side as compared to the old note.
- There is a picture of Mahatma Gandhi and electrotype watermark will also be visible here.
- Left side in the top and right side in the bottom the numbers will be seen increasing from left to right.
- The color of the number 500 written here changes. Its color changes from green to blue.
