A virtual event has been set for the launch of Redmi 9 today. It will start at 12 noon. Fans can watch live streaming of the event through Redmi India YouTube channel or Twitter handle.
So far, Xiaomi has named only the name of the phone and has also highlighted the large battery, display and fast performance. It has also been confirmed that it will get dual camera setup and MIUI 12.

Although not confirmed by Xiaomi, it is expected that Redmi 9 will be a rebranded version of the already launched Redmi 9A or Redmi 9C. The company lands the same phone at different places under different names.
Original Redmi 9 has been launched in India as Redmi 9 Prime. It is being speculated that Redmi 9 may be the cheapest phone of its series.
Redmi 9C comes with MediaTek Helio G35 processor and Redmi 9A Helio G25 processor. Also, both get a 6.53-inch HD + display.
