Reliance Jio Diwali Offer: Full Cashback on Every Rs.399 Recharge

This Diwali, Reliance Jio has launched a new offer for all its consumers. The company is giving 100 per cent cashback on every recharge of Rs.399. Users that already have an active data pack can also do this recharge for the next cycle.

This Jio Diwali offer will be valid from October 12 till October 18. The company also plans to launch a new range of plans that will be effective from October 19. It was made clear that the offer is only valid for Jio Prime members.

Reliance Jio is now having a stiff competition with Bharti Airtel as they came up with 4G smartphone at an effective price of just Rs. 1,399. However, to purchase the device the buyer will have to pay Rs 2,899 in the beginning. The user will be eligible for a Rs.500 refund, after 18 months of device usage. If the user continues to use the smartphone for another 18 months, they will again get an additional refund of Rs 1,000. This means a total to Rs.1,500 will be refunded back to the user.



The user will also have to either recharge with a Rs.169 plan or the total amount of recharges in the first 18 months should sum up to Rs 3,000 to get a refund of Rs 500. If the buyer is able to pay another Rs.3,000 in recharges for the next 18 months they will also become eligible for the R. 1,000 refund.
Reliance JioPhone on the other hand is offering a 4G feature phone at an effective price of Rs.0. The user will initially have to pay an amount of Rs.1,500 to get the handset and then after completing the first year of usage the user will be eligible for refunds.

Users that return their device within a period of one year will not be eligible to get the refund. Buyers that return the device between the duration of 12 months to 24 months from the date of purchase will get Rs.500 in back. Users that return the device within a duration of 24 to 36 months will get Rs.1,000 in return and buyers that return it after completing all three years will get the entire amount of Rs 1,500.



Even to keep the device with him/her, the user will mandatorily have to keep recharging their balance on a monthly basis. Reliance Industries has even set a threshold of recharges worth Rs.1,500 per year or the company will repossess the device.

This new front of competition on the lines of cheap 4G phones is new to the Indian telecom industry. Other players like Idea-Vodafone and BSNL will be jumping on to this band wagon soon.

    • i think all telecom service provider were honest when they were charging moreb then 300 per gb data .reliance reduce telephone bill from unlimited to almost 133/per month

    • I agree 100% with you. This 100 cashback is another cheating scheme by cheater Jio. Typical end user who aren’t tech savvy will not understand their terms & conditions. For people with doubts here is the clarification. If you had recharged before 12th Oct you aren’t eligible. You will get refund of ₹50 every month for 8 months. You can’t use them together. If you don’t use it in that month, it lapses. If you recharge for extra data every now & then only its useful. If you recharge it once in 3 months like us you get ₹50 cashback only 2 times that too after 15th Nov. So for most of people its not useful. Big cheating from Jio

In Diwali offer it is not clarified.You don’t get Rs.400 cash back immediately.You will get 8 coupons of Rs.50 each.You can use only one coupon with every recharge.So that you have to continue with JIO for 2 years to get refund of Rs.50 every 3 months.so that you will get cash back of total Rs.400 in 8 recharges

With the same phone, you can access TV channels, Net and free calls. Now the under ground cable was laid and ready for operation. I booked the 4G phone with JIO out let. When I enquired with their local service provider advising me to pay Rs.4500/- to access the net. TV channels and free voice calls may take another 6 to 18 months to regularize and extra cost will be incurred. After paying Rs.4500/- for the net only, what about business interest JIO is gaining. where is the free net.
