The Telangana government has increased the retirement age of office teachers and helpers in Anganwadis to 65 years. At present, the retirement age of assistants including Anganwadi teachers is 61 years. Which has been increased to 65 years. Not only this, Rs 1 lakh will be provided to Anganwadi teachers and workers on retirement while financial assistance of Rs 50 thousand will also be provided to mini assistants and Anganwadi teachers.

Not only this, tomorrow 3989 mini Anganwadi centers will be upgraded while teachers and assistants will be given the benefit of Aasra pension after retirement. Along with this announcement of the Chief Minister, Women and Child Development Minister Satyavati Rathore thanked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and said that since the formation of Telangana, the salary of Anganwadi workers has been increased three times.
MLC Kavita has also expressed happiness over increasing the retirement age of Anganwadi teachers and assistants to 65 years. Earlier, MLC Kavita was met by the State President of Anganwadi Teachers Union, Baralakshmi and the representative of the union. During this, he has thanked the Chief Minister.
Order to upgrade mini centers to main Anganwadi center
There are a total of 35700 Anganwadis in the state, of which 31711 are main Anganwadis while 3989 are mini Anganwadis. The government has issued an order to upgrade the existing mini centers to main anganwadi centers. In Telangana, Anganwadi teachers are being paid Rs 13650 while mini Anganwadi teachers are being paid Rs 7800 and helpers are being paid Rs 7800.
