Samsung is going to include Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 devices under its self-repair program for the first time. Samsung has a partnership with iFixit. The repair program previously only supported Galaxy S20, S21, and Tab S7 devices. Later it included the full flagship S23 and now the foldable one. Galaxy foldables are not yet listed on iFixit’s page.

Last year, Samsung announced that it was partnering with iFixit, the online tech repair major, to fix Galaxy devices without paying a professional. “At Samsung, we are exploring more ways to extend the lifespan of our products with premium care experiences for consumers,”
said Ramon Gregory, senior vice president of customer service at Samsung Electronics America. The facility will provide more options for sustainable solutions.”
SamsungSamsung consumers will get access to genuine device parts, repair tools, and step-by-step repair guides. Owners of Galaxy devices will be able to replace the display assembly, back glass and charging port – and return the used parts to Samsung for recycling. Samsung also announced that more European customers are getting access to self-repair kits as the program expands to Denmark, Greece, Hungary and Portugal.
