SBI Alert Message: In such a situation, a message is being sent to the people in the name of State Bank, in which it is being claimed that the bank is advising the customers to update the PAN card to their customers.

Fact Check of SBI Message: With the changing times, there have been a lot of changes in the banking system. Nowadays people mostly settle their work sitting at home. Net banking and mobile banking have made our work very easy, but along with this the incidents of fraud have also started increasing. The country’s largest public sector bank i.e. State Bank of India has warned its customers from time to time to be safe from different types of frauds. PAN card is a very important document and without it it is very difficult to settle any financial work. Whenever you go to open an account in any bank, first of all you are asked for Aadhar card and PAN card. There is a problem in opening an account without a PAN card. The Income Tax Department advises people to make a PAN card first after the age of 18 years.

In such a situation, nowadays a message is being sent to the people in the name of State Bank, in which it is being claimed that the bank is advising the customers to update the PAN card to their customers. Failure to do so will result in your account being blocked. If you have received any such message, then before believing it, know the truth of this message. On this matter, Press Information Bureau has given information by tweeting from its official Twitter handle that for the last few days, fraudsters are sending messages to people in the name of State Bank that if you have PAN number in your account. If you do not update it, your account will be blocked. Along with this, you are being advised to update PAN information through call or any link. If you get any such message, then do not believe it even after forgetting it. This message is completely fake.

In this way, keep yourself safe from fraud,

State Bank always warns its customers that the bank does not advise anyone to update their account related information by calling or messaging. The bank does not ask to update the PAN details on it by sending any kind of link. Along with this, the bank has also told that if a person becomes a victim of cyber crime, in such a situation, the same complaint can be lodged in the cyber crime cell at number 1930 or through email report.phishing@sbi.co.in .
