SBI Latest Update: The country’s largest government bank has upgraded the YONO app. After this, customers will get many facilities through this app.
State Bank of India i.e. SBI has upgraded its digital banking application YONO. In this upgraded app, many new and special facilities will be easily available to crores of customers of the bank. Interoperable cardless cash withdrawal facility will now be available in this app. As part of the 68th bank celebration in the bank, this facility has been launched on Sunday, July 2.
During the launch of this upgraded version of the YONO app, Dinesh Khara, Chairman, SBI said, “SBI is committed to provide digital banking solutions with the best of technology to every Indian. We are also committed to provide financial independence and convenience to Indians The YONO app has been upgraded keeping in mind the customer expectation and smooth digital banking experience.”
Many facilities will be available on YONO app
Through the YONO app, the bank will provide many special facilities to customers including UPI facility, scan and pay, payment through contacts, request money. In the month of May this year, there has been a decline in the number of new SBI accounts opened and loan disbursal through digital platforms.
Experts had said during this time that this decline has been seen due to technology-related problems on the bank’s digital platform and lack of effective customer engagement strategy. The customers of the bank had complained about various inconveniences in the YONO mobile app.
More than 60 million Yono app users
But, even after these inconveniences, YONO has emerged as the most trusted digital bank app in the country. Since the launch of this app in 2017, till now more than 6 crore customers are using it. In the business year 2023, 78.60 lakh i.e. 64% savings accounts have been opened through YONO app.
Withdrawal of cash from ATM will be very easy
- Now after the introduction of Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal Facility, apart from SBI customers, customers of other banks can also withdraw cash from ICCW enabled ATMs. For this, they will have to take advantage of the UPI QR Cash facility.
- There is no need to use PIN and debit card in ICCW facility. In this way, it also helps in preventing many types of frauds related to card and PIN in such ATMs.
