There is also another scheme of SBI in which you can get huge benefits by investing. This scheme is the special term deposit (FD) scheme ‘WeCare’, the last date of which has also been extended by the bank till 30 September. In this scheme of SBI, senior citizens will get an additional interest of 50 basis points on deposits (FD) of 5 years or more. Senior citizens get 0.50% more interest than the general public on retail term deposits of less than 5 years. On the other hand, under the ‘WeCare Deposit’ scheme, 1% interest will be given on FDs of 5 years or more.
