SBI Card and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) have announced integration of SBI Credit Card with UPI on RuPay platform. From August 10, 2023, SBI card customers will be able to do UPI transactions through their credit cards issued on RuPay. This can be availed by registering the credit card with third party UPI apps
India’s largest pure-play credit card issuer SBI Card and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) announced the integration of SBI Credit Card with UPI on RuPay platform. From August 10, 2023, SBI card customers will be able to do UPI transactions through their credit cards issued on RuPay. This can be availed by registering the credit card with third party UPI apps. This will further enhance the opportunities for customers using the SBI Card on the RuPay platform at UPI merchants. This will facilitate hi-tech, convenient and hassle-free transactions.

Speaking on the occasion, Ram Mohan Rao Amara, MD & CEO, SBI Card said that through this function, SBI Card customers will be able to use their SBI Card issued RuPay Credit Card on the UPI platform. Today, UPI has become a huge digital platform that enables millions of transactions every day. This should provide hassle free usage as well as greater flexibility and mobility to our customers. With this, the usage of credit cards in the industry will increase.

The integration of SBI RuPay Credit Card on UPI is a major milestone in the evolution of digital payments in India. This partnership will enable seamless UPI payments for SBI RuPay Credit Cardholders, giving them a digitally enabled credit card experience. Dilip Asbe, MD & CEO, NPCI said, “With the growing demand for credit cards in the country, it has become imperative to continuously innovate payment solutions like RuPay credit card integration with UPI, which are convenient, fast and secure. Cardholders can make UPI nomination on their active cards and make payments using their credit cards. This service is absolutely free for the customers. However, if you want to link your credit card with UPI, your registered mobile number should also be linked with UPI along with your card.

First of all download the UPI third party application from Play Store or App Store. After this verify your mobile number on the UPI app and complete the registration. After this, you have to select the option of credit card add or credit card link. After this, you have to select SBI Credit Card in the list of credit card issuers. After this you have to select your SBI RuPay Credit Card to link. After this, you have to enter the last 6 digits of the credit card and its expiry date. After this you have to set your PIN.

You need to scan the QR with your favorite UPI app to make the payment. After this you have to enter the amount to be paid. After this you will have to enter your PIN to make the payment.
