School Holiday 2024: Under this, summer vacation is starting from April 25 in all the schools of the state. From April 22 to 24, schools will run from 6.30 am to 10.30 am.
School Holiday/Summer Vacation 2024: There is relief news for lakhs of school students. In view of the increasing heat and heat wave, changes in school timings and announcement of summer holidays have started in different states. Similarly, keeping in mind the health of children, the state governments of Chhattisgarh, Odisha and West Bengal have announced summer vacation ahead of time. The School Education Department has also issued an order in this regard.
Summer vacation in Odisha from 25th April
Keeping in mind the increasing heat and the health of children, the Naveen Patnaik government of Odisha has announced summer vacation. Under this, summer vacation is starting from April 25 in all the schools of the state. Schools will run from 6.30 am to 10.30 am from April 22 to 24. Earlier, due to heatwave warning, the state government had announced holidays in all schools between April 18 to 20 and now it has announced summer holidays.
Schools closed from today in West Bengal and Chhattisgarh
Summer vacation has started in West Bengal today from 22nd April. In the notification issued by the School Education Department, it has been said that there will be summer vacation in government and government-aided schools from April 22. Apart from schools, teachers and non-teaching staff will also remain on leave, however, in view of the Lok Sabha elections, the instructions of the concerned election authorities will also be applicable to them. Schools in Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts will be an exception and the current academic program there should be continued till further orders.
In Chhattisgarh also, the School Education Department has announced summer vacation. Under the order, there will be summer vacation in Chhattisgarh from April 22 to June 15. This order will be applicable with immediate effect for all government, private, aided, non-aided schools of the state. Let us tell you that according to the order of the state government dated 11 October 2023, summer vacation was scheduled from 1 May to 15 June 2024 and from 30 Classes were to be conducted till April, but in view of the changing weather, heat and health of the children, the order has been amended and orders have been given to close the schools from April 22.
