Odisha
Odisha government has announced ten days holiday in schools on the occasion of Durga Puja. Odisha government announced ten days holiday in schools from October 20 on the occasion of Durga Puja. This information has been given in a notification. According to the notification issued by the Directorate of Secondary and Elementary Education on Friday, all schools will remain closed till October 29.
In the notification, all district education officers have been asked to give instructions to the school authorities regarding the puja holiday. The government has also declared a holiday on October 14 on the occasion of Mahalaya, which marks the end of Pitru Paksha.
Telangana
Telangana government has announced Dussehra holidays. Dussehra is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in Telangana, hence the state government has declared a holiday for schools, banks and other organizations to celebrate the festival.
As per the academic calendar, Dussehra holidays for 2023 will start from October 14 and continue till October 14. According to the notice issued by Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE), there will be a seven-day holiday in junior colleges.
The state government has declared Dussehra holiday in all junior colleges from 19 to 25 October. Junior colleges will reopen on 26 October. The board has directed all junior colleges to follow the holiday calendar.
