In view of increasing pollution in Haryana, the state government has announced the closure of schools. All classes will be run in online mode.
After Delhi schools, now it has been decided to close Haryana schools also. Due to increasing pollution in and around Delhi, closure of schools has been announced. Haryana Education Department has also issued a notice in this regard in which it has been said that due to increasing pollution, schools are being closed and all classes will be conducted online. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the health of the students. In Delhi too, instructions have been given to close schools till 10th November. In view of increasing pollution, Delhi government has taken many steps.
AQI in severe category
At least 18 out of 37 monitoring stations in Delhi have found poor air quality. At these places (AQI) has been recorded in ‘severe’ category. Punjabi Bagh (439), Dwarka Sector-8 (420), Jahangirpuri (403), Rohini (422), Narela (422), Wazirpur (406), Bawana (432), Mundka (439), Anand Vihar (452) and The air quality level reached ‘severe’ category in many areas of the city including New Moti Bagh (406).
Areas where AQI has crossed the 400 level include Anand Vihar (450), Bawana (452), Burari Crossing (408), Dwarka Sector 8 (445), Jahangirpuri (433), Mundka (460), NSIT Dwarka. (406), Najafgarh (414), Narela (433), Nehru Nagar (400), New Moti Bagh (423), Okhla Phase 2 (415), Patparganj (412), Punjabi Bagh (445), RK Puram (417) ), Rohini (454), Shadipur (407) and Wazirpur (435).
