Let us tell you that the government of Maharashtra and Haryana had started this facility in the month of April. Under the Mahila Samman Yojana in Maharashtra, the bus ticket fare for women was reduced by 50 per cent. At the same time, this facility is also being given to senior citizens. In this, senior citizens of 65 to 75 years are getting benefit. At the same time, bus service in the state is free for citizens above 75 years of age.

Let us tell you that you are getting this discount on bus fare. This facility is being provided by the State Transport Corporation. Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced this during the budget session. Along with this, the Haryana government had also reduced the ticket prices for senior citizens.
This facility is applicable from the month of April only.
The fare for senior citizens was reduced by 50 percent. This benefit is available only to the people living in the state of Haryana. To take advantage of this facility, you will have to show the residence certificate of Haryana during ticket booking while traveling in the bus.

Let us tell you that earlier in Haryana only women of 60 years of age used to get the benefit of this facility, but from now on all senior citizens above 65 years of age will get this benefit. Bus travel is free for women in Delhi and Punjab. Apart from this, senior citizens are also given concession in bus fare in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
