Stock Market Updates: The effect of weak signals from the global market was clearly visible in the Indian stock market on the first trading day of the week. Both Sensex and Nifty started trading with red mark and Sensex reached below 57 thousand.

Stock Market Updates: On the first trading day of the week, the major stock markets of the country opened with a fall. The 30-point Sensex opened at the level of 56,429.45 in the opening trading session. On the other hand, Nifty opened at the level of 17,329.25.

The effect of weak signals from global markets was also seen in the Indian stock market on Monday. In the early trade, only 3 out of 30 Sensex and 2 out of 50 Nifty stocks saw buying. In today’s trading session, 786 shares were bought, 1425 shares were sold. There was no change in 118 shares.

IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, Tata Motors and Power Grid Corp were in the list of top gainers of Nifty. While the top losers were Hero MotoCorp, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, ONGC and Bajaj Finance.

Earlier on Friday also there was a big fall in the stock market. The Sensex closed at 57,060.87, down 460.19 points due to the fall in bank, IT and agency shares. On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange fell 142.50 points to close at 17,102.55 points.
