Try this method for Tatkal ticket
- You have to login to the IRCTC website. Enter your IRCTC user ID and password to log in.
- If you do not have an account, click on the “Sign Up” button and follow the instructions to create an account.
- Now click on the book ticket option.
- Select the “Tatkal” booking option here and fill in details like destination, date of travel, train number and class.
- Now fill in details like name, address, departure, phone number of the traveller.
- Select your berth preference.
- Review, after which you will be redirected to the payment page.
- After making the payment, you will get the option to download the e-ticket.
Note: Tatkal booking opens at 10 am for AC class and 11 am for non-AC class, exactly one day before the departure of the train. So you should try to login to the website some time in advance.

Download ITCTC app from App Store or Google Play Store and login.
- Now select Tatkal booking option.
- Select train and travel date.
- Fill passenger details.
- Select berth and class type.
- Review and make payment.
- There will be an option to download e-ticket. Download it from there.
