The government has now taken a big decision to improve the economic health of rural women. All the toll plazas in the state and whose annual turnover is Rs 2 crore. It has been decided to hand over the command of those toll plazas to self-help groups of rural women. This decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Home Minister Narottam Mishra told that the cabinet of Shivraj government has taken many important decisions. New colleges are to be opened in Khalwa (Khandwa), Phanda (Bhopal), Bansagar (Shahdol), Baroda (Sheopur), Mandwa (Sidhi), Betma (Indore), Hanumna (Rewa), Kothi (Satna) and Hatta (Balaghat). The proposal has also been approved.
30% of the income from toll tax is spent on women
30 percent of the income from toll tax will be spent on the empowerment of women. Apart from this, it was also decided to increase the salary of employment assistants from 9000 to 18000. This will increase the annual burden on the government by about 275 crores. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that to empower rural women, especially dalit and tribal women, the responsibility of toll plazas with an annual turnover of up to two crore rupees will be entrusted in Madhya Pradesh. He further said that apart from this, the government has also decided to increase the scope of Ladli Bahna Yojana. Under this, now married women up to the age of 21 years will also get the benefit of this scheme. Along with this, families who have tractors will also be able to get the benefit of this scheme.
Shivraj government increased focus on women and farmers
Madhya Pradesh Shivraj government has started many schemes for women. The scope of some schemes has also been increased. At the same time, the state government has expanded the schemes to benefit the farmers as well. The government has increased it from Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 annually under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana.
