Gadpuri Toll Plaza: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has fixed the rates for the new toll plazas built on the national highway.

Between Faridabad to Mathura, till now only toll had to be paid at only one toll plaza in Srinagar Tumsara, Palwal, but now by closing this toll plaza, toll collection will be done at two places in its place.

Among them, apart from Gadpuri toll plaza, another toll plaza has been built in Karman of Haryana-Kosi border. Preparations for toll collection have been completed on Monday.

A list of toll rates has been put at both the toll plazas late in the evening. Till now, those going to Mathura, Vrindavan and Nightingale forest had to pay a toll of Rs 120 on one side and Rs 220 on both sides, but now they have to pay a toll of Rs 195 on Gadpuri and Karman board for this and toll on both sides. 295 will have to be paid instead of 185.

Protest continues against toll plaza

Palval. The indefinite sit-in against the Gadpuri toll plaza, which started after Sunday’s mahapanchayat, continued on Monday as well. On Monday, a large number of local residents reached the dharna and extended their support.

On Monday, the villagers of village Prithla, Gadpuri, Dundsa, Harfali, Asawati reached the dharna and gave their support. Addressing the dharna, Ratan Singh Saurot, convenor of Gadpuri Toll Plaza Hatao Sangharsh Samiti, said that their dharna has started against this illegal toll plaza.

The residents of the area will bow down to the government by peacefully staging a sit-in. The government has to listen to the voice of the people. The people of Faridabad and Palwal districts will suffer a lot due to the installation of toll plazas.
