Train Ticket Booking System: Indian Railways has introduced a new booking system. Now train tickets can be booked by scanning the QR code. According to an announcement by Indian Railways, this facility will not be available for halt stations run by private agencies on Southern Railway routes.
Train Ticket Booking System : All 61 stations of Palakkad Division of Southern Railway including Mangalore Central and Mangalore Junction have now generated new system for booking unreserved tickets through Railway UTS App with support of QR code.
The “Book Tickets” menu in the app now includes a QR code booking option. In a release issued by the Railways, it has been said that the QR code system also allows renewal of season tickets and platform tickets.
According to an announcement by Indian Railways, this facility will not be available for halt stations run by private agencies on Southern Railway routes. Passengers can access the ticketing system and select their destination by scanning the QR code at the station. From there, they can pay using Railway Wallet, UPI, Debit or Credit Card or Net Banking.
