MyAadhaar portal: If your name, address is still wrong in your Aadhaar card or you do not have a mobile If you want to update your number then this news is for you. Yes, in the information given by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), it was said that the last date for free updating of Aadhaar has been extended to 14 March 2023. Earlier the last date for updating Aadhaar was December 14, 2023.
In the information given by UIDAI, it was said that after the demand of the people, the last date for updating the Aadhaar card has been extended for three months. Now Aadhaar card holders can update their information for free through myAadhaar portal till March 14. If you have not been able to update your Aadhaar by December 14, then you can take advantage of it in the coming time.
Fee of Rs 50 at Aadhaar Centre-
The facility of updating information in case of name, address and marriage/death etc. is being provided by UIDAI. This information can be updated for free through the UIDAI website. Apart from this, you can also get it updated by visiting Common Service Centers (CSC) in person. You can avail the benefit of this facility for free only through myAadhaar portal. Apart from this, the fee of Rs 50 will be charged at the Aadhaar center as before.
How to take advantage of the free offer to update Aadhaar-
- First of all go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and login through Aadhaar number.
- After this click on ‘proceed to update address’ given on the home page. Click on the option.
- Now OTP will come on your registered mobile number, enter it.
- Here you can click on ‘Document Update’ Click on it and you will see your current details.
- The Aadhar card holder will have to verify his information. If found correct then click on the next hyperlink.
- Now select Identity Proof and Address Proof from the dropdown list in the next screen.
- Upload the scanned copy of address proof here and click on submit. To upload your document, upload a copy of it.
- Once the Aadhaar update request is accepted, a 14 digit Update Request Number (URN) will be generated.
How to upload address proof-
1.) First of all go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
2.) Now login here and select ‘Update Name/Gender/Date of Birth and Address’. Select.
3.) After this click on ‘Update Aadhaar Online’ Click on.
4.) Select ‘Address’ from the list of demographic options. Select and ‘Proceed to Aadhaar Update’ Click on.
5.) Upload the scanned copy and enter the required demographic information.
6.) Pay Rs 25. However, this is not necessary from 14 December to 14 March. You will have to make this payment after this.
7.) Service Request Number (SRN) will be generated, which you can save for future tracking.
8.) After internal quality check, the user will receive an SMS from UIDAI.
