Aadhaar Free Update: UIDAI is urging people to update their Aadhaar details if they have not updated in the last 10 years. This is being done to curb fraud related to Aadhaar. UIDAI said on its website, ‘Please update your Aadhaar for continued accuracy of demographic information.’

Aadhaar Free Update : Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has once again extended the deadline for free updation of Aadhaar information through My Aadhaar portal. According to an office memorandum issued by UIDAI on December 11, 2023, ‘Based on the positive response of the residents, it has been decided to extend this facility for 3 more months i.e. from 15.12.2023 to 14.03.2024. Accordingly, the facility of document update will continue free of cost through my Aadhaar portal https://myadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ till 14.03.2024.

It should be noted that while online updation is free, a fee of Rs 25 will be charged for updation of documents done at physical Aadhaar centres.

Why should Aadhaar data always be kept updated?
