The Uttar Pradesh government has made preparations to give old age pension. On the occasion of International Old Age Day (October 1) , the second quarter installment of old age pension, run by the Social Welfare Department of the state, will be sent online to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

In a program to be organized in the Directorate of Social Welfare, State Social Welfare Minister Ramapati Shastri will transfer this amount to the bank accounts of 55,61000 beneficiaries by pressing the button of the computer. An amount of Rs 1500 will be sent to the account of every beneficiary every month at the rate of Rs 500 per beneficiary.

Pension Scheme for Widows

UP government has started “Pension Scheme for Widow Women” for the welfare of widow women so that they too can live their livelihood. The benefit of this scheme will be provided to the widow women living below the poverty line of Uttar Pradesh. The age limit for this has been fixed from 18 years to 60 years .

State government-run widow pension scheme has been started for those women whose husband has died due to some reason. The Uttar Pradesh government will give Rs 500 as pension every month to these women so that all these women can live their lives well.

The applicant woman must be permanently residing in the state of Uttar Pradesh only.

After the death of the husband, the age limit for poor women should be 18 to 60 years.

Under the scheme, the children of the poor woman of the applicant are minors.

Poor women living below poverty line will be eligible for this scheme.
