UPI Lite X App: UPI Lite X feature was introduced at the recently held Global Fintech Fest. It has such a facility that any person can transfer money even in offline mode.
UPI Lite Nowadays, most people prefer to make payments through phone only. Gone are the days when sending money meant going to the bank. Now, it’s just a click away through UPI apps like PhonePe, BHIM, or Paytm.
However, one condition is that the internet should be working well, but now this problem also seems to be ending. Now even without an internet connection, individuals can easily transfer money through UPI thanks to the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) and their innovative feature – UPI Lite X.
This feature of transferring money without internet was introduced during the Global Fintech Fest. Although. It is important to note that this feature is currently available only for Android phones and iPhones will not be able to get this feature yet.
how to use
To start using UPI Lite X, both the giver and the taker must have the latest version of the BHIM app on their Android device.
the BHIM app and go to the ‘UPI Lite X Balance’ menu.
Tap on ‘Enable’ button.
Activate offline transactions by toggling the tick box and clicking on ‘Enable Now’.
Then the money will have to be deposited in the UPI Lite wallet. Then enter your amount
Select the ‘Enable UPI Lite X’ button.
Enter your UPI PIN.
After successfully adding funds to your wallet, you can start using UPI Lite X for offline transactions.
According to reports, transactions through UPI Lite can be up to Rs 200, while the maximum UPI Lite balance for the on-device wallet at any time is Rs 2,000.
