UPI payments for Tourist: Today the monetary policy meeting of RBI i.e. Reserve Bank of India was held. Today was the third and last day of the meeting. This meeting was going on for 3 days. Repo rate has been increased in the meeting. Let us tell you, the repo rate has been increased by 25 basis points. The new repo rate has now increased from 6.25% to 6.50%. Tourists from G-20 countries will be the first to get this facility

In the monitoring meeting, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said that now tourists coming from abroad in India will also be able to use UPI. UPI facility will also be started for passengers coming from abroad in India . UPI facility for foreign tourists will be started soon. However, this facility will be available only at a few airports. This facility will be used for the passengers coming from G20 first.

G-20 is a group of developed and developing countries of the world. This includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said that transactions through UPI increased by 1.3% in January to about Rs 13 lakh crore.

How to transfer money through UPI

UPI is a digital money transfer tool. It was started under the Digital India campaign to make money transactions easier. With UPI, you can send money from one account to another in a jiffy. With the help of UPI, two parties can send money to each other digitally on a mobile platform. This transaction is completely safe.
