But what if you accidentally send money to a wrong mobile number or scan a fraudulent QR code? But now you do not have to worry so much for this. By following these steps you can get your money back.
How to get refund if money is transferred to wrong account
- If money is transferred to the wrong account, first mail your bank. Most of such cases are solved only by mailing.
- But even after mailing your problem is not solved, then you will have to go to the bank branch yourself.
- Also take some of your important documents along with you. You will have to submit these documents to the bank.
- After doing this, the reply of the bank manager will come and your money will be refunded in the bank.
RBI will refund money between 7 to 15 days
According to the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), if you have transferred money to the wrong account, then you can complain about this whole matter in the bank. The bank refunds the money to your account within a week or 15 days of your complaint. Means the account from which the money is deducted, comes back in the same account. According to the guidelines of RBI, if someone spends the money sent on your behalf or transfers it to any other account, then even in this situation RBI bank will give you a refund. In such a situation, the balance of the person who has spent the money will be made negative.
