The examination for this recruitment to be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) was to be held in November itself, but it could not be conducted on time.

Only the candidates who have appeared in PET will be able to participate in the recruitment of 7882 Lekhpal posts. However, no official information has been revealed so far regarding how much the candidates who score in PET will be able to take part in the Lekhpal Recruitment.
According to various media reports, about 17 lakh candidates had participated in the PET and out of these 4 lakh candidates can be declared eligible to appear in the Lekhpal recruitment. In such a situation, it is expected that the candidates who score around 75 percentile can get a chance to appear in the Lekhpal Recruitment.
When will the notification be released:
No official information has yet come regarding the release of notification for the recruitment of 7882 posts of Lekhpal. However, according to various media reports, UPSSSC is preparing to release the notification for this recruitment before the code of conduct comes into force in the state.
It is worth noting that assembly elections are to be held in the state early next year and once the model code of conduct is in place, no new recruitment will be allowed. So UPSSSC can issue notification for this recruitment in the month of December itself. Candidates should keep an eye on the official website of UPSSSC for information regarding this.
