Vande Bharat Train: This is the first Vande Bharat train for Assam as well as for all the 8 states of Northeast India. Let us tell you that by July this year, the Central Government has a plan to run Vande Bharat Express for almost every state of the country.
PM Narendra Modi has gifted the first Vande Bharat Express train to Assam. He flagged off the train through virtual medium at 12 noon. This train will go from Guwahati in Assam to New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. This is the first Vande Bharat train for Assam as well as Northeast India. Let us tell you that by July this year, the Central Government has a plan to run Vande Bharat Express for almost every state of the country. On the other hand, this is the third Vande Bharat for West Bengal. Earlier, Vande Bharat Express trains have also been run from Puri to Howrah and Howrah to New Jalpaiguri.
Vande Bharat Express from Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri will run 6 days a week except Tuesday. Through this, the journey from Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri will be completed in just 5 hours 30 minutes. Currently Dibrugarh New Delhi Rajdhani Express runs on this route. This train completes this journey in 6 hours 30 minutes. From this point of view, the speed of Vande Bharat Express train will be maximum on this route. This superfast train will leave Guwahati at 4:30 pm and reach New Jalpaiguri at 10 pm. In this way, this train will complete the 409 kilometer long journey in 5 hours 20 minutes.
Guwahati Vande Bharat Express train will stop at Kamakhya, New Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, New Alipurduar and Coochbehar during its journey. After this the last station will be New Jalpaiguri. After leaving Guwahati at 4:30 in the evening, Vande Bharat Express will first reach Kamakhya at 4:40. This station connects Kamakhya Temple, the center of faith. After this, the second stop of the train at 6:35 in the evening is New Bongaigaon Goga. Here the train will halt for a minute and then reach Kokrajhar at 06:56.
Then the next station will be Alipurduar, where the train will reach at 7:48 in the evening and then at 8:02 the train will reach New Cooch Behar. Then the last station will be New Jalpaiguri. At the same time, this train will leave from New Jalpaiguri in Bengal at 6:10 am every day except Tuesday and will reach Guwahati at 11:40 am. Along with the inauguration of Vande Bharat Express, PM Narendra Modi also inaugurated the electrified route of 182 km.
